And hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Parish Listening Session, in the Spirit of Synodality.
1 April at 6:30, Spirit Hall.
Do you find yourself anxious, tense, unsure how to make small talk given the “big” talk in the news? Do you long for a prayerful, peaceful way to join others, build community and share your experiences, feelings, concerns, hopes?
If so, then this Listening Session is for you!
We’ll begin with song, reflection, prayer and then move to prayerful conversation as the Early Jesus communities and the Synod on Synodality sessions practiced.
Pope Francis calls for such prayerful conversation after hearing from bishops throughout the world who asked for a universal gathering in order to form a more “synodal Church.”
Pope Francis reminds us when coming together in this way, “the Holy Spirit is our protagonist.” When asked what he hopes given this process, Pope Francis said, “I want what Jesus wants, a synodal Church” — that is to say, a community formed by the People of God who journey together in faith, come together in humble prayer and listen and learn from each others’ stories.
Please, come to the gathering and invite a friend. Please, help us grow trust, camaraderie and collaboration such that we may grow truly as “disciples united in worship, welcoming to all, working for justice and peace.”
