Holy Spirit Parish Invites You to Spirit Nights: Experiencing God’s Transformative Love!
Peter Newburn, D Min., Coach for Divine Restoration, leads Stevens Point’s Holy Spirit Parish Mission in the Church or Spirit Hall from 23-25 September, 6:30-8:00 pm.
On Monday, 23 September, in Spirit Hall, Peter’s focus is God’s Amazing Love for You! Beginning with song and parishioner shared faith journeys, Peter reminds us of a personal God who knows us better than we know ourselves! What changes when we experience God intimately and consistently in our lives?
On Tuesday, 24 September, in Church, we shift to what impedes experiential, tangible understandings of God. Overcoming Obstacles to Holiness encourages us to focus on God, not ourselves. When God is first the details of our lives fall into place and we’re free to partner with God in all we say, think and do. But how do we put God first and hear the Holy Spirit’s promptings? Tuesday’s mission ends in Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
On Wednesday, 25 September, in Spirit Hall, Peter’s Calls to Action: “Mission!”-- Jesus sends forth His disciples two by two; He sends forth His followers as a group of 72; and He sends forth us! What’s involved in this invitation? To what do we agree when we say, “Yes!” ? What does it mean not only to follow Jesus, but to walk with Him as we share His life-saving Self, love and message with others?
